About This Rug
An award-winning design by Laurie Downing, Bottlecaps (red) was painstakingly hand-knotted in Nepal by Tibetan weavers (see "What is a Tibetan Rug?") in a fine 100-knot construction using handspun, hand-carded Tibetan wool. The many colors in the rug are perfect with each other: warm and rich. This rug graces the floor of the owner's eclectic living room and garners many compliments. One-hundred seventy-six repeating color motifs are inlaid on a rich red background to create a dramatic and stunning rug. Bottle Caps (Black) was the recipient of the Magnificent Carpets Award at the National Oriental Rug Show.
It's made with black, taupe and eggplant colored backgrounds as well.
