TAPESTRIES

We are excited about the potential for tapestries. This is
a form of art for the wall that has been largely overlooked. Tapestries offer a softer, more dimensional and sound-deadening alternative to "hard" art on the wall. We carry old-world-style tapestries, both handwoven and machine-woven types, as well as contemporary representational
and abstract designs. Of course, rugs can be beautiful on a wall as well. We've put wonderful, dramatic runners in
spaces that soar, such as over a stairway descending below a high wall above or over a fireplace with a vaulted ceiling above.

We feel that tapestries are a medium with great possibilities and an ideal medium for custom design (please see our section on "Custom"). If you have a painting or design of any kind, we can translate it into tapestry form for a reasonable price, in either aniline or natural dyes.
