Bottlecaps (putty)
A stunning, award-winning design by Laurie Downing, Bottlecaps (taupe) is the more muted version of Bottlecaps (black). it was painstakingly hand-knotted in Nepal by Tibetan master weavers in a fine weave (100-knot construction) using handspun, hand-carded Tibetan wool. (See "What is a Tibetan Rug?") One-hundred seventy-six repeating color motifs are inlaid on a rich taupe background to create a dramatic and stunning rug. Bottlecaps (Black) was the recipient of the Magnificent Carpets Award at the National Oriental Rug Show. It's made with red, black and eggplant backgrounds as well.
