And, at a Rug For All Reasons, we strive to make your online rug shopping fun, simple, memorable, and convenient. If we're not achieving all of these goals for you, please contact us.
Your satisfaction is guaranteed with 30 day returns
If your order doesn't meet your expectations for any reason, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. We do not have re-stocking fees or hidden charges. If you need to return a rug, you are only responsible for the return-shipping expense. If three rugs are returned with no rug purchase being made, we will need to charge outbound shipping to you on subsequent orders. The only case where we are unable to accept returns is when we order a rug made just for you, such as when your chosen size is unavailable, for custom rugs, or if the returned rug is not in the original condition in which it was shipped. We are also unable to accept rug pad returns because they are cut to your required size. We will issue a full refund of your purchase price on the day the rug is received. Fast and free shipping

We offer fast and free shipping on all rugs within the Continental U.S. For orders outside the continental U.S., including Canada, standard UPS rates apply as well as any applicable customs cost. We pass on our actual UPS rates, and never charge additional handling fees. If you are ordering outside the continental U.S., including Canada, please note that our website will not charge for shipping at the time of your order (and may indicate "free" shipping). We will notify you of the exact shipping charge after you place your order, and arrange a convenient time to process your shipping payment over the phone. 

If a rug is immediately available, orders will be shipped within 1 or 2 days. Depending on where you live, you can expect your rug to arrive within 7 to 10 business days. Areas outside the continental U.S. may have longer delivery times. Most orders will have a tracking number which will be emailed to you.

Please Note: If a rug is not in stock in the U.S. and must be made and shipped from the country of origin, if the customer decides to have it air-shipped to him/her upon completion (rather than the much longer wait for shipping by sea), we will ask the customer to share that cost for air-shipping. With some of our rugs, if the customer prefers to have the rug shipped by sea, we of course still provide completely free shipping to the customer.

Try before you buy
Since we do not have samples or swatches of our rugs, we encourage you to order the smallest size available (often a 2'x3') to view the colors and make sure it will work for you. Then, once you've made a decision, you can return the small one and order the correct size. Return shipping for a 2'x3' will usually be under $10, versus $50 or more for an 8'x10' or larger. Please start with your favorite rug; there's no limit, but we do appreciate you sampling one rug at a time if possible. To return a trial rug, please reference our return instructions
Payment Information
If you order a rug in a size that is not available for immediate shipping, we will let you know as soon as possible and discuss with you the date of availability.

If you order a rug that needs to be made for you, or is a custom rug, we will ask for a 50% deposit (as well as applicable air-shipping costs) before placing the order, which will not be refundable.

A note about rug availability
We do our best to display rug availability on our site, however, at times certain rugs may not be available for immediate shipping. Since handmade rugs are not a “cookie-cutter” commodity (like shoes or televisions!), we may need to order a rug that’s either already on the loom, or will be made for you in the size you need. Of course, if you order a rug on our site that is not available for immediate shipping, we will let you know via e-mail as soon as possible. We will discuss the backorder process with you and let you know what to expect. If this is to your satisfaction, then we will monitor your order closely until it is delivered to you. Often, knowing a rug is being made just for you can make it that much more special!
A note about color and design
We spend a great deal of time ensuring that our rugs are shown to you as accurately as possible. However, please keep in mind that the color calibration of computer monitors and browsers can vary slightly. The rugs that are made with natural or vegetal dyes will usually have some variation from one rug to another, even with the same rug design. There are many variables with these natural dyes, such as where the plant material grew, the time of year that it was harvested, the differences between the sheepswool that the dye is used for, and so on.

You should also note that rug designs usually change as the size of the rug increases. For example, large rugs typically have wider, more complicated borders and more design elements in the field than small rugs. Most of the rugs photographed on our site are 6’x9’ or 8'x10' in size.
Products and pricing 
We make every effort to maintain the lowest possible prices on the highest quality rugs available. From time to time we will adjust our online product information and pricing when notified by our rug makers. This may occur without prior notice. Please keep in mind that the price you see today may not be the price you’ll see, for example, in six months (You may find it interesting to read our related blog article "Current Trends in the Rug-Making World").
Your privacy is our priority
At A Rug For All Reasons we respect your privacy. We will not share or sell any information about our visitors to any third party companies or organizations. Furthermore, all orders processed through our web site are held in the strictest confidence and are processed entirely by our secure servers. These servers use very high-level encryption technology to keep your information confidential and secure. Any information we request from you will only be used to help us process your order.
