About This Rug

This Persian design rug was created with a very sturdy soumak weave. These durable flatweave rugs are made on a loom with a warp-wrapping process (see "Soumak"). The affordability of these rugs, as compared with the knotted versions, allows one to acquire the beauty and long life of a true oriental rug. Vibrant colors and subtle abrash (variations) please the contemporary eye while honoring tradition. Handwoven in India of all natural 100% New Zealand wool on a cotton warp.
